Flightcom’s Attenuating Custom Communications Earpiece System (ACCES)* is designed to provide quality hearing protection for ground and aircrews, as well as clear communication when exposed to high noise environments.
- Custom molded earplug provides clear communication while simultaneously protecting the ear from damaging audio frequencies
- Passive attenuation reduces noise by an average of 30 dBA
- Lightweight and extremely cost effective
ACCES consists of three components:
- Custom molded, silicone ACCES earpiece
- Modular ACCES speaker/cable assembly
- Mask communications cord
ACCES Earpiece
- Custom earpiece provides a repeatable, consistent and high performance fit and seal
- Attenuation is higher because the earpiece conforms to the unique contours of each individual’s ear
- Comfortable to wear for long periods of time
- Custom fit earpiece is made of soft, highly-durable silicone
- Patent pending double flange cable connection system minimizes the possibility of a slit leak which compromises attenuation
- Components may be replaced independently due to the modular design
Cable and Speaker Assembly
- ACCES cable and speaker assembly interfaces with the HGU—55/P helmet
- Earpiece contains a balanced armature driver encased in the ACCES double flanged housing
Airframe Approvals
- Current airframe approvals include: F-22, F-15, F-16, B-52, B-2, B-1, A-10, C-17
